One of the main highlights of the Manaslu region trekking is crossing the Larkya La Pass, which stands at an elevation of 5,160 meters (16,930 ft). This challenging section of the trek provides breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, including Mount Manaslu. From here, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of Manaslu, Himalchuli, and Ganesh Himal. Along the route, trekkers encounter diverse ethnic communities, including Gurung, Tamang, and Tibetan-influenced Nubri and Tsum people, offering an intimate look into their spiritual and cultural traditions. The trail follows the serene Budhi Gandaki River, passing cascading waterfalls, suspension bridges, and terraced farmlands, before joining the Annapurna Circuit trail at Besisahar.
